The Miami Dragon Slayers is an enthusiastic Miami, Fl dragon boat racing team comprised of individuals from all walks of life and from more than 10 countries; collectively, the team paddles, works hard and has fun together. The team’s practice playground is the beautiful Key Biscayne, Florida. We are fortunate to have an excellent coaching team, with an unbridled enthusiasm for the sport and who are up to date on the latest paddling strategies and techniques. Coach Harry is a well-known in the dragon boating community. He is the Head Coach for the Miami Dragon Slayers Dragon Boat Racing Team. He is also Co-owner of Treasure Coast Dragon Boats which produces festivals. Harry has coached and steered at all levels, including U.S. National and International races such as the 2011 IDBF World Dragon Boat Championship in Tampa, FL; and the 2015 IDBF World Championship in Welland, Canada. He coached a team for the 2014 IDBF World Club Crew Championships in Ravenna, Italy. He travels throughout the U.S. to steer, coach, and train recreational, festival, Breast Cancer Survivor teams, as well as competitive teams. Harry has also been the Vice President of the SRDBA (Southeastern Regional Dragon Boat Association) since 2013 and is on the SRDBA Competition Committee. Harry has written manuals for Dragon Boat steering and Coaching clinics, as well as taught them. He’s very involved in his community and in teaching local youth dragon boat programs. |
